Build Professional Affiliate Websites The Cheaper Way!

Let's be honest here outsourcing the building of your affiliate websites to professional designers can and will cost you at least a couple hundred dollars. There are a few places online where you can outsource your website building, places like guru.com, elance.com, scriptlance.com.

I've been looking at few sites offering ready made websites for a starting price of $500 plus, now this might work if you have the budget but I'm looking at creating affiliate marketing websites from a newbie standpoint.

Meaning not having a budget to talk about or very little money to spend on a 5 page website costing $500 or more by a professional designer.

So we are left with creating it on the cheap but we still want a professional looking affiliate marketing website to your own products or other peoples products.

As I mention earlier outsourcing can cost a bit so if you have the money to pay for it then by all means go for it but if you don't here's a really simple solution for you.

And that solution is WordPress, I have to say that I haven't found any website model that wordpress can't handle. I am a fan of this amazing opensource platform and with the coming of the new version in April 2.5 we can expect wordpress to be evn more user friendly.

As I said part of the reason I'm a huge fan of this system is the fact that it cost nothing and you can use it to create professional looking website and it doesn't matter what website model you choose to implement.

Here is an excellent resource for WORDPRESS BASICS TUTORIAL:

* WordPress Overview - How it works
* How WordPress Themes work
* How to install WordPress via Godaddy
* How to install WordPress via cPanel using Fantastico
* How to login to WP Dashboard
* How to upload and activate Themes and Plugins
* How to customize a Theme (overview)
* How to select different inside Page Templates
* How widgets work
* How to change header images/text
* How to setup a blog feed via Feedburner
* The difference between a Page and Post
* How to create a new Page or Post
* How to edit Pages/Posts
* How to set up new Users
* How to install Google Analytics stats
* How to put photos in a Post or Page

A great thing about using wordpress to run your affiliate marketing websites is it come pre-installed with most webhost that runs cpanel and have fantastico as their admin backend.

As always I would love to get your feedback, comments.

See you soon

Believe It Or Not The Fast Cash Formula In Days!

It just seems to me everyone and his or her dog wants to get on the internet and start making fast cash.

But here's the funny part, most don't want to do much work or spend any real kind of money to get the job done. So we are left with a huge delima on our hands.

How does someone that has a limited amount of time to spend on developing an online business that is going to generate quick enough money to pay the bills and at the same time spend little or no money at all!

Here's is my take on developing a Fast Cash Formula:

There's a few things that are going to cost.

  • Domain Name = $7.95
  • Webhosting = $4,95 to $12.97
  • Paypal Premiere Account - FREE
  • WordPress CMS - FREE

These THREE things are a must have a domain and hosting account.

And Now to the formula, I'm not saying this is going to work for everyone but all the research I've done points to this simple yet powerful formula for fast cash.

    1) You find out what visitors want.
    2) You create and sell it to them.

First there are many different ways to finding out what visitors are looking for in any niche, one of the best ways I found of doing that is browsing specific niche forums and taking part in the discussions going on.

Now I've had a few years doing this, so it might not be easy for someone just starting out to know what to look for. But here's a rule of thumb I use in any niche forum you'll find variations of the same question been ask over and over or if the forum has a search feature just type in any key word and see how much it comes up.

As I said there are many different ways of doing this finding a niche, this is just one of many.

Ok so now you'd found something interesting keywords or even a bunch of questions in your niche forum members and visitors want answers to, brilliant.

This is where it gets a bit trickier, you can either answer these questions on your own by writing up a short report which might take some time to get done because you might need to do additional research on the topic or you can do what most of the top Internet Marketing Guru's did when starting out.

Which is find someone who is an expert in that niche and get them to provide the content/answers to your questions. By finding an expert you've now cut down your work load to almost zero, just 30 to 60 minutes on a teleconference call and you have your own unique product to start selling or do what ever you want with it even offer it as a bonus.

Let's back up a bit:

  • 1) Find A Niche
  • 2) Create A Unique Product - Expert Interview Or Write An Ebook
  • 3) Setup Your Website & Sales Process - Paypal & WordPress
  • 4) Your Niche Forum Add Sigfile Backlink To Your Site - post and answer question
  • That's it really just repeat the process over and over again and again, but the best part is we've spent less than $30 on a niche business.

Now let me hear your feedback and comments

Why wordpress for your first affiliate marketing website!

Over the last couple of days I've been spending a lot of time on one of my favorite forums that deals with making money on the Internet.

Anyway, one question I notice that keeps coming up over and over again is how to start an affiliate marketing website if you don't really know much or anything about HTML, PHP, MYSQL, CGI, you know the tech related stuff.

All this tech stuff can really put a damper on anyone who's just starting out in this industry that is looking to pull in any kind of income, whether it's part time or full time.

The way I see it you basically have TWO options:

  • 1) DIY - Which means start buying books on how to build a website and spending most evenings and nights reading and learning to write code.
  • 2) OS - Outsourcing which means you pay someone to do all the dirty work for you, which leaves you open to be more creative.
  • Both of these options have drawbacks but today I'm going to talk about option (1) DIY - the good, bad and ugly, just kidding.

Building a website from scratch can be a daunting task in some cases you can say it's like trying to climb Mount Everest when you have a heart problem.

Anyway we know in order to create your first website you need to have certain skillsets, like how to use html, php, how to upload and download files, setup a domain, change DNS.

Over the last few years I've been using and testing a few tools that doesn't really need you have these skillsets in order to have your first affiliate marketing website up and running and making some kind of money in no time.

  • Membership - paid Membership site where you share private content to customers
  • Magazine - Magazine type site like you see on your store racks, like forbes, newsweek
  • These are just some of the thing you can use wordpress for, the use is limitless and one of the key features of wordpress is the use of addons, which enhances your site to do even more amazing thing, like letting visitors to your site rate your content and leave comments, which keep your site looking fresh for the search engines.

If you really want to get a site up and running in less than an hour you need to get wordpress just do a search on yahoo or google for it and the best thing is it's opensource and free to use.

Here's what you need to get up and running:

    1) Your Domain

    3) WordPress Application
    4) FTP software to upload the wordpress files
    5) Text editor like notepad
