Over the last couple of days I’ve been spending a lot of time on one of my favorite forums that deals with making money on the Internet.

Anyway, one question I notice that keeps coming up over and over again is how to start an affiliate marketing website if you don’t really know much or anything about HTML, PHP, MYSQL, CGI, you know the tech related stuff.

All this tech stuff can really put a damper on anyone who’s just starting out in this industry that is looking to pull in any kind of income, whether it’s part time or full time.

The way I see it you basically have TWO options:

  • 1) DIY - Which means start buying books on how to build a website and spending most evenings and nights reading and learning to write code.
  • 2) OS - Outsourcing which means you pay someone to do all the dirty work for you, which leaves you open to be more creative.
  • Both of these options have drawbacks but today I’m going to talk about option (1) DIY - the good, bad and ugly, just kidding.

Building a website from scratch can be a daunting task in some cases you can say it’s like trying to climb Mount Everest when you have a heart problem.

Anyway we know in order to create your first website you need to have certain skillsets, like how to use html, php, how to upload and download files, setup a domain, change DNS.

Over the last few years I’ve been using and testing a few tools that doesn’t really need you have these skillsets in order to have your first affiliate marketing website up and running and making some kind of money in no time.
